Schools Look to Limit Spread of COVID-19; Rethink Perfect Attendance Awards (March 3, 2020)

Schools across the country are taking steps to prepare for the spread of COVID-19. Many schools are even rethinking “perfect attendance” awards as a  means of keeping students who may have the disease form coming to school sick and spreading it to others.  

Schools have been reviewing and/or updating emergency plans after federal officials warned that the virus is almost certain to spread across the U.S. Many are preparing for possible school closures that could stretch weeks or longer.
