Indiana Area SD Offering Free Staff Development for Health Services Staff (December 18, 2018)

Indiana Area School District (IASD) is partnering with the American Academy of Pediatrics to provide school health services staff with a professional development opportunity designed specifically for them.  The training is a program of the PA Chapter, American Academy of Pediatrics titled Recognizing and Responding to Children at Risk:  Suspected Child Abuse & Neglect Education for School Nurses. The training will be conducted on January 21, 2019, from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the IASD Central Administration Offices at East Pike Elementary.  Other school districts welcome to send school nursing staff to this training and there is no cost to attend.  IASD needs to know by Friday, January 7, if a school district would like to send any of their staff  to the training.  Those interested must email  names to be added to the list of attendees. This program is appropriate for school nurses only.
