In June, the PA Senate passed SB 750, which would make completion of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) a graduation requirement for high school seniors. There would be an opt-out provision with parental permission. If passed, the bill would take effect for the 2024-25 academic year.

The bill was referred to the PA House Education Committee.
