On June 4^th,the House Education Committee held a public hearing on compulsory school attendance centering on provisions of this HB 593 , which redefines compulsory school age from ages eight (8) to 18 to be established as ages six (6) to 18. PA Secretary of Education Pedro Rivera spoke to the committee in support of the proposal.
