The 2014 PAPSA Annual Conference will be held April 23-25 (Wednesday – Friday) at the Eden Resort in Lancaster, PA. The PAPSA Board will meet on Wednesday, April 17th from 6:00 – 7:30 PM, following the conference pre-session.Board meetings are public and attendees are invited to sit in on the session.
A pre-session is scheduled for Wednesday, April 23rd from 2:00-6:00 PM. There is no additional cost for this workshop, but interested persons are asked to register so that sufficient space and handouts can be prepared. The topic for this session will be announced closer to the conference dates.
Registration is scheduled from 7:30-9:00 PM on Wednesday and from 7:15-9:30 AM on Thursday and Friday.

Friday will be devoted to the Thirteenth Annual Paul Stevens Memorial Legal Seminar conducted by attorneys Jane Williams and Sharon Montanye and their associates from Sweet, Stevens, Katz and Williams. The Seminar is always seen as the highlight of the conference and receives the highest ratings from the participants. If you are unable to attend the entire conference, then plan to attend the Legal Seminar at a special one-day rate. The 3-hour morning session will focus on special education law and the 2-hour afternoon session on pupil services cases.
A maximum of approximately 16 hours of training will be available. Please note that PAPSA will no longer serve as an approved Act 48 provider. Instead, attendees will receive a certificate verifying the number of hours training received and the topics. They may then submit the certificate to their employing entity for Act 48 approval. For those who are unable to enter their hours, PAPSA has made arrangements through another agency to enter the hours, however, PAPSA takes no responsibility for the entry or acceptance of these hours.
In Mid-April, the weather in Lancaster is beautiful and the outlet malls are in their full glory so mark your calendars for April 23 – 25, 2014, and join your PAPSA colleagues at the conference. There is plenty to interest spouses and children in the immediate area as well, including Hershey Park and Gardens, Zoo America, Strasburg Railroad, Dutch Wonderland, an Amish Farm, and many other attractions.
Registration forms will be sent to all school entities over the Christmas holidays. A copy of the registration form will be available for downloaded on this site at the same time. If you have difficulty opening the form, which will appear beneath this paragraph, e-mail the Executive Director and he will fax or e-mail you a copy. You will also be able to bundle your 2014-15 membership with your conference registration at this site. You can begin to schedule your room for the conference through the Eden Resort. Be sure to mention that you are attending the PAPSA Conference to obtain the best rate. Our group number is 745450. The cutoff date for the special room rate is March 24, 2014.
